Baking started out as a simple hobby — a way to fill quiet moments after our youngest son left for college and we officially became empty nesters. What began as a way to pass the time soon turned into something much sweeter.
In the beginning, our baked goods didn’t always look picture-perfect — but what they lacked in appearance, they made up for in flavor. Friends and family were always kind, and their encouragement meant everything. One holiday season, we decided to bake treats for our customers as a small Christmas gesture. What we didn’t expect was how popular those homemade sweets would become!
Compliments poured in, along with special requests for favorite cookies and bars. This motivated us to take our baking to the next level, working on improving the visual appeal of each treat — without losing the homemade charm.
Of course, not every item turns out perfectly shaped, but one of our loyal testers said it best:
“If they’re all the same size, then they don’t look homemade.”
